A walk-in bath has a door in the side. You open it, step in and sit down. No climbing, no balancing – and nobody waiting outside in case you slip.

The right bath starts with the right conversation.
Before we'd recommend a walk-in bath we need to understand four things:

How you manage sitting down and standing up, your grip, your balance – and whether a powered seat should do that work for you.

Your life
Whether bathing is something you've been managing with help, or given up altogether – and what it would mean to do it on your own again.
Third
Your home
The room itself: where the bath sits, the space around it for getting in and out, the door, the lighting, and the route you take there at night.
Fourth
The future
Will a bath still suit you in two years? For some people, yes. For others, a shower is the sounder long-term choice, and it's better to know before the work is done.
We can get started quickly – but we can't do this in five minutes on the phone. It takes an in-person visit – over tea and biscuits at your kitchen table – to see what will actually work. If a walk-in bath is what you're hoping for and it's the right fit, we'll design everything around it. If it isn't, we'll tell you before you've spent a penny.

The door seals as the bath fills. It's a low threshold door, so getting in and out is over a low step, not a high edge to climb over.
A powered seat, if you need one
An optional powered lift seat lowers you gently into the water and raises you back out – so a full, proper soak doesn’t depend on your knees, or on help.
Grab rails where you actually need them
Positioned for the way you move – where you reach when you steady yourself, not where they look tidiest.
Anti-slip surfaces
Inside the bath and around it, as standard.
Before you decide
Is a walk-in bath right for you?
A walk-in bath suits you well if you love baths and it's the getting in and out that's become the problem. The door takes away the climb, the powered seat takes away the lowering and lifting, and for aching joints and cold evenings nothing else comes close.
One thing to know before choosing – because the door seals shut, you're in the bath while it fills and drains. Most people don't mind this; but some do. If you're really a shower person who's been making do with the bath, a walk-in shower or wet room may be the better choice. That's what our home visit and assessment is for: weighing up the options in your own bathroom, before you commit to anything.
